Shahi paneer butter masala

Paneer butter masala is a dish in which the main ingredient is paneer in a rich, creamy, and mildly spiced tomato sauce.

Don’t worry about if you have linguistic problem as I am explaining my preparations with English subtitles for better understanding, I will explaining this Paneer butter masala recipe in Hindi with English subtitles


  • 400 grams paneer
  • 1 cup infused milk
DJM paste:
  • 2 tsp whole coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 whole chillies
Cashewnut-poppyseed paste:
  • 15 cashewnuts
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp watermelon seeds
  • 2 roasted onions
  • 4 boiled tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp roasted kasuri methi
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala


Step 1: The spices are sautéed in butter and then tomato puree is added to it.

Step 2: It’s cooked for about 5-7 minutes before adding paneer to it.

Step 3: It’s simmered on low heat for another 7-10 minutes before adding heavy cream or half and half to the sauce.

Serve hot!
