In this YouTube video, you will learn on how to prepare sabudana khichdi easily as I am going to explain it the recipe in Hindi. Sabudana khichdi is a popular dish in India where sabudana are soaked overnight in water, then cooked with potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cumin seeds and other spices.
Recipe of sabudana khichdi requires the below listed, be ready to prepare the healthy breakfast.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sabudana, steeped overnight (tapioca pearl)
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 potato finely chopped
- 2 green chili
- Handful of curry leaves & chopped coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon ginger grated
- 1 teaspoon black mustard seed(rai)
- 1 tablespoon oil /ghee
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of turmaric
Preparation:
Step 1: Soak the sabudana in water for at least 12 hours or overnight.
Step 2: Take a pan add 1 tablespoon oil /ghee (when the oil it is heating) add 1 teaspoon ginger grated, Handful of curry leaves, 1 teaspoon black mustard seed
Step 3: After 2 minutes add 2 chopped green chilli
Step 4: After 2 minutes add 1 onion finely chopped, 1 potato finely chopped.
Step 5: After 3 minutes add turmeric powder half teaspoon and salt powder half teaspoon
Step 6: Take another pan and add 1 cup of peanuts and roast it well
Step 7: Set the peanut to cool down and then grind it
Step 8: Add the peanut powder to sabudana and add half teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar
Step 9: Now take the first mixture of onion and potato heat it again and add 2nd mixture of sabudana to the 1st mixture and add some water
Step 10: Finally, check the sabudana is soft and if it is soft, your Sabudana khichdi is prepared add some coriander leave and curry leaves if required to garnish your dish
